Alsagra is close to the Tuscany, Umbrian border and is situated on a quiet rural hillside among 2 ½ acres of terraced olive groves, gardens and woodland. There are wonderful far reaching views towards Assisi, Magione and Perugia and is an ideal place for guests to relax. It is extremely children and family friendly, our aim is to make sure we have all the things you need (so that you don't need to bring tons of items) to make sure your children enjoy the holiday as much as you the adults can.

This beautiful traditional Umbrian stone farmhouse has been carefully restored with original materials and transformed with families in mind into three independent self catering holiday apartments comfortably furnished with everything you should need. Each apartment has its own private patio with barbeque, chairs and loungers.

On one of the olive terraces there is a wonderful fenced and solar heated swimming pool complete with swimming games and water 'noodles'.

The apartments are suitable for all ages, they are family and child friendly (designed with child safety in mind and with lots of childrens equipment, toys and indoor games available). There are two outdoor play areas with slides, swings, climbing frames, hiding huts and a train to keep youngsters amused. A football and volleyball play area and lots of space to roam around. The apartments are ideal for families with babies, toddlers and older children.

If you feel the need to check out the internet or work from your apartments, we have free wifi available. Our pet Cashmere goats (Sugary, Spicy and Fluffy) will keep your children entertained they love to be stroked or fed leaves.

Our weekly Pizza evening (weather permitting) is where guests can get a chance to make their own Pizza from fresh dough and ingredients in our very own outdoor wood fired Pizza oven. Its a fun evening where you get to meet the other guests and enjoy the local wines.

Guests can relax in the tranquil surroundings of Alsagra knowing that all the major sights of Southern Tuscany and Umbria are in easy reach. Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Lake Trasimeno and Cortona are less than an hour away. There are lots of activities in the surrounding area for families with chlidren or for the adventurous adults, see our links on the left. Italians love children so you can feel safe letting toddlers and young children roam around. Take a day trip on the train to Florence, Pisa and Rome and come back to relaxation and beauty. We have plenty of walks in the local area that you can access immediately from the apartments. These range from a hike up Monte Tezio national park to a stroll down our wooded lanes to the Etruscan Tomb. Family friendly accommodation, Children friendly accommodation.
